To prevent environmental pollution and to use the already flaring oil associated gases of the 3 oil fields in Kharg area in Persian Gulf , Iranian Offshore Oil Co. (IOOC) awarded Offshore Industries Co. (SAFF) a contract for refining the said oil associated gases that are gathered and sent to Kharg Island .
Offshore Industries Co. (SAFF) as the main contractor assigned the Basic and Detail Engineering of the project to Rosemond EMI.
